17-hole Bridge - the bridge lies on the Kunming Lake and connects the East Dike and Nanhu Islet. The name of the bridge indicates that there are 17 holes, which spreads for more than 150 meters long. There are over 500 stone lions on the top of the poles with different poses, and four stones animals at both terminals of the bridge. Near the bridge there is a big bronze buffalo, which was emplaced in 1755. There is a saying that the bronze buffalo was made for repressing the flood. (information taken from this page)
