Received from: Poland
Category: from a friend
Date: May 2011

When I wrote on my facebook the link to this blog and the information that I collect postcards, one of my friend promised to send me a card - because I'd already had postcard from her city of studies, I got this one, presenting her home town :)

Tomaszów Mazowiecki is a town in central Poland with 67,159 inhabitants (2004). Situated in the Łódź Voivodeship (since 1999), it was previously part of Piotrków Trybunalski Voivodeship (1975–1998). According to the 2002 survey, it occupies an area of 41.3 square kilometers.

The town is situated on the banks of three rivers—Pilica, Wolbórka and Czarna Bielina, near the Zalew Sulejowski reservoir and at the edge of the Puszcza Spalska wilderness area.
